Arovella is a clinical‑stage biotechnology company developing a next‑generation CAR‑iNKT cell therapy platform for the treatment of haematological malignancies and solid tumours. Arovella’s lead programme, ALA‑101, is an allogeneic CD19-targeting CAR‑iNKT therapy with an accepted US FDA IND. Arovella is building a highly differentiated platform through the integration of a novel cell type (invariant Natural Killer T cells), unique manufacturing process, novel CAR targets (including claudin 18.2), and IL‑12‑TM cytokine armouring, designed to enhance anti‑tumour activity while limiting systemic toxicity. This combination of allogeneic iNKT biology, natural tumour targeting of iNKT cells via NKG2D ligands and CD1d, and cytokine armouring, is intended to overcome key limitations of first‑generation CAR therapies, particularly in solid tumours. Arovella is among a small number of companies globally advancing CAR‑iNKT therapies toward the clinic, and differentiated by its modular, multi‑asset platform approach.
