Tacit Therapeutics is a development-stage biotechnology company developing Splicing-Directed Repair (SDR), an RNA trans-splicing platform that corrects disease-causing mutations at the pre-mRNA level. SDR rewrites mutant transcripts while preserving each gene’s native expression, splicing, and regulatory context, restoring healthy protein under the body’s own control. The platform generates 100K candidate designs per month, enabling rapid discovery across targets. Tacit’s lead programs address Huntington’s disease, repairing the HTT expansion to both reduce mutant HTT and reconstitute normal HTT levels, and Dravet syndrome, restoring SCN1A. A pipeline program addresses Rett syndrome. The company has raised approximately $20M, including a partnership with the Rett Syndrome Research Trust, and is advancing toward non-human primate proof-of-concept data supporting a Series B financing.
