Nionyx Bio is engineering the future of gene therapy, starting with the kidney. Our next-generation AAV capsid platform was designed first and foremost with a human-selected approach, screened directly in whole human kidneys across the cell types that drive kidney disease, podocytes, proximal tubule cells, and endothelial cells. This is a first-of-its-kind approach to an organ AAV has historically struggled to reach. On top of this platform, we’re building a pipeline of next-generation therapies for rare kidney diseases that have no disease-modifying treatments today. Nionyx pairs precision-medicine capsid engineering with a focused rare-disease pipeline. This is gene therapy designed for humans, built for the kidney.
